The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson

This book was much better than the first in the series, mostly because I already knew the characters. I was still intrigued by how odd Lizbeth, the central character, is. She is odd enough, and the book is written well enough, that you think she might actually have committed one of the murders. I wish I knew more about Sweden's social programs (and geography!) so I could understand some of the events better (especially the guardianship part), but you don't really have to be an expert on Sweden to follow the plot or the mystery. The ending of this book begs for the third one to be read.
